Our facilities in Alachua, FL and Charlotte, NC allow our service engineers
the opportunity to work extensively on all major brands and models of ultrasound
equipment. InterMed is a nationally recognized leader in the ultrasound service
market and is contracted by numerous ultrasound manufacturers, government
agencies and independent service organizations to perform maintenance on the
equipment they are responsible to maintain.
Each employee goes through a rigorous basic training course, then additional
equipment specific courses, which are all, documented. Afterwards they spend
a minimum of 60 days in house working on the equipment they have been trained
on and will eventually see in the field prior to making any service calls. After wards,
they accompany a senior service engineer on numerous service calls at which time
their abilities are evaluated and the decision is made to allow them to work alone or
go back for additional training.
InterMed has invested in the resources to support our field service engineers by
providing centralized service dispatching, parts location and technical support divisions.
This allows the customer the ability to access information concerning their equipment in
one location, with a single phone number. Computer printouts of all work performed and
status of equipment is available with a single phone call.
InterMed also provides extensive training on the maintenance and repair of ultrasound systems.
